Sixth Grader Recognized for Team Spirit While Participating in 2019 Archdiocese of Baltimore Spelling Bee

Congratulations to sixth grader Allison Mehta on her participation in the 2019 Archdiocese of Baltimore Spelling Bee. While competing against 38 middle school students from other schools around the Diocese, she completed 14 rounds.  Allison was also recognized in The Catholic Review for her enthusiastic team spirit.  She gestured with "jazz hands" which also looks similar to the American Sign Language sign for applause after each speller to demonstrate her support. Way to go, Allison; we are so proud of you and commend you for demonstrating that Slade students know, "Kindness is contagious!"  As always, Slade students “Rise Above!”
