Monsignor Slade students and families feed the hungry
Monsignor Slade families donated a significant amount of non-perishable food items during our first service project of the year! The Slade community has participated in a food drive known as the Worldwide Freedom Harvest for more than 18 years. This service project is in honor and recognition of the victims and heroes of September 11, 2001, and the families of both.
Each year, we partner with Happy Helpers for the Homeless to donate this food. The food our students, families, faculty, and staff donate benefits soup kitchens, shelters, and food banks in the local area. We are extremely grateful for the generosity of Monsignor Slade families and students; your annual generosity and service to our community is impressive and this year’s food drive was no exception. We collected more than 540 pounds of food! This annual service project is a perfect way to demonstrate our students’ ability to lead as disciples of Christ and complements the Archdiocese of Baltimore’s Year to Lead. Thank you Slade families for consistently helping us to RiseAbove!
