Fiddler performance brings down the Roof this weekend!
Slade students on the roof? Sounds crazy, no? But here on the “stage” of Monsignor Slade Catholic School, every student has an important role in our school play! Our middle schoolers could not put on such wonderful spring musicals without the support of our entire school community. Younger classmates make up an enthusiastic audience, wildly applauding during dress rehearsals. Parents and friends of Slade provide critical behind-the-scenes support. A wonderful cast of teachers help students memorize lines, harmonies and melodies, learn dance steps and lighting, sound and stagecraft, to all who want to participate.
“We are so thankful to have this opportunity to produce
amazing spring musicals, year after year, for our students to participate in
and for our school community to enjoy,” says Mrs. Alexa Cox, Principal of Monsignor Slade
Catholic School. “Each year seems to be
the best ever, and then, without fail, the current performers ‘Rise Above’ and
outdo themselves again! None of this
would be possible,” adds Mrs. Cox, “without the dedication and commitment of
our fabulous faculty and staff theater team, and the support of our school
parents and friends of Slade. A standing
ovation to all cast and crew for carrying on the Slade tradition of excellence!”
