Fall Open House | Monday, November 11, 2024 | 8:30 - 10:30AM
This event is open to families considering all grade levels at Monsignor Slade. Parent and Student Ambassadors will escort guests through the school to visit classrooms to see instruction in action. Representatives of our Student Support Team, our Home and School Parents Association, our Athletic Council, and of course our Admissions Team will also be available to field questions about all facets of the Slade experience.
Attendees should plan to spend about 45 minutes to an hour to gain as much insight into Slade as possible. Children are welcome! We are excited to showcase our community and explain how our focus on Faith, Knowledge, and Service makes Monsignor Slade the ideal place for your student to learn and grow!
Catholic Schools Week Open House | Sunday, February 2, 2025 | 11AM - 1PM
In celebration of Catholic education, Monsignor Slade Catholic School opens our doors to prospective families as the finale of Catholic Schools Week. Celebrated nationally each year, Catholic Schools Week showcases the value of investing in Catholic education.
This event is open to families considering all grade levels at Monsignor Slade. Even though school is not in session, Parent and Student Ambassadors will escort guests through the school to visit the classrooms where our students thrive every day.
Attendees should plan to spend about 45 minutes to an hour to gain as much insight into Slade as possible. Children are welcome! We are excited to showcase our community and explain how our focus on Faith, Knowledge, and Service makes Monsignor Slade the ideal place for your student to learn and grow!
Campus Tours
A building tour is a great option to see our school facilities and learn more about Monsignor Slade. Tours are led by a member of the Admissions Team prepared to answer questions about the school experience as well as the application process. Tours typically last about 45 minutes to an hour. Visitors will have the opportunity to observe classes in session and to see common areas like our gymnasium, dining hall, and STEM lab. Students are welcome to come along!
All adults attending must bring along a driver’s license to be scanned by our Visitor Management System so that a visitor badge may be generated.
Slade Shadow Days | 8:15AM - 12:15PM
A shadow day experience is required for all students applying to the 4th grade or higher. Shadow visitors will be assigned a student host and will accompany that host to classes, lunch and recess to get the full Monsignor Slade experience. Students applying will be assigned to a host in their current grade and will spend the day among their potential future classmates.
A member of the admissions team will meet with each visiting student during the day to administer a computer-based admissions screening to fulfill that requirement of the application process. Our student guests should dress comfortably, but appropriately. We’re excited to welcome your child as a Slade Student for a Day to enjoy the full complement of academic classes and peer engagement time that comprise the MSCS student experience.
